Yenisey Article in Australian Geographic

March 31st Yenisey Article Released To coincide with the book, Tim’s feature article about the Yenisey rowboat journey is appearing in this months issue of Australian Geographic (April-June edition). With text and photos from Tim it details the 4500km journey from lake Baikal in southern Siberia to the Arctic ocean in the north. He joined a group of three others, Ben Kozel, Colon Angus, and Remy Quinter who had begun the journey from the source of the Yenisey high in the Mongolian mtns. The Yenisey is the fifth longest river in the world and was the longest river never to be traced from source to sea. From Baikal the team repaired an old wooden five metre dory, complete with ply-wood cabin and spent the next four months traveling downstream. On theur journey to the Arctic they battled a leaky hull, rapids, ice-breakers, ocean-like swells and the difficulties of living at such close quarters 24/7. A documentary about this journey was recently sold to National Geographic and Tim was awarded the Young Australian Adventurer of the Year award.
